Ghost tour

With this tour we will discover the monumental cemetery of Santiago, and through its monuments, the traces of people who lived here once upon a time. Beyond the big gates you will find a majestic space created in 1819 where the old wealthy bourgeois of Santiago desired to find eternal rest.

Incredible burials are immersed in a luxuriant vegetation and just be careful not to get lost: you might miss the area strangely called cementerio de los disidentes, created for all who belonged to a different religion, or the “wall of the desaparecidos”, victims of the years of dictatorship.

Statues of mourning angels, crying babies, cold images of girls as white as marble seem to move while they populate the vast cemetery as a silent crowd of different times. Each slab has a story to tell, about people ho had fears and hopes, who loved and fought for their goals in life. Let us find some of them, for what they want to tell us is that we are the ghosts of the future ourselves!
